I had a great local moving experience with this team - Ankush and Bhatia. One of the tough moves include our king size gas lift bed and solid wood dining set. Both guys handled all our belongings so well, especially having to navigate through our apartment building, including disassembling and re-assembling everything for us after too. I recently used the services of Pathway Movers (formerly known as CBDway Mover), and while the move was completed, the overall experience left much to be desired. The movers assigned to the job, Mohit and Griffin, arrived in the afternoon and began work around 12:50 PM. At the time of arrival, neither had eaten lunch, so I provided them with snacks and drinks, as it felt inappropriate for them to work without a proper meal. The move was completed around 6:00 PM, at which point I again offered refreshments before they departed. I was billed for the time between 12:40 PM and 6:20 PM30 minutes beyond the actual. While I did not object to the slight overcharge, viewing it as a tip for their efforts. Sadly it was not the only thing that was not handled professionally by them. The move itself was somewhat rough, resulting in minor scratches and marks on some of the furniture. While I understand the urgency in packing, the lack of care and apparent inexperience from the movers was evident and concerning. More importantly, there was an incident where Mohit, the driver, accidentally broke a flowerpot belonging to a third party while reversing the truck, which I found out after they left. Initially, both movers denied any knowledge of the damage, they only stopped arguing after I mentioned that there was CCTV footage of the incident. The video clearly shows that the spotter failed to perform his role while the truck was reversing, reflecting poor adherence to standard operating procedures. I raised this matter with their supervisor, Garry (aka Gurbinder from North Clyde). Initially, he was courteous and open during our conversations. The owner of the damaged flowerpot requested a like-for-like replacement, which I felt was reasonable. I even offered to cover any additional cost beyond what they could provide. Unfortunately, after a month of waiting, no action was taken, and no compensation was offered by Garry or his team. All follow-ups were initiated by me via calls, texts, and emails, further indicating a lack of accountability or willingness to resolve the issue. Overall, it was a disappointing and frustrating experience. I cannot recommend Pathway Movers to others, given their lack of responsibility and poor customer service. Update #1: I was contacted by Garry in just over 12 hours from the review is posted on a potential settlement of the damages to the third party property. Will further update. Update #2: Garry reached out and personally delivered a pot as compensation. He further offered compensation, if required for the tools/ soil required to complete the task of replanting.
