TLDR; Would highly recommend and will definitely use again next move! Do yourself a favour and just use these guys. We moved during the floods which cut off the North Richmond bridge and was a difficult time for everyone. Dawson's were very responsive, understanding and clear in their communications which went a long way removing the stress and putting our minds at ease. Mieke from Dawsons kept us updated throughout so it was one less thing to worry about with every other moving-related task proving difficult to arrange. The guys themselves turned up right on time and nothing was too much to ask. They were very careful with our valuable/sentimental items, and helped pack and move our more difficult items such as out plants w/o fuss. Everything was wrapped in plastic, w/ additional boxes/paper offered freely as required. Cartons for TVs etc were also offered and I believe they provide boxes freely as part of the move although we didn't require these. They were clearly very experienced, handling other difficult items like glass-doored cabinets, and collapsible tables with care and refrained from taping wooden furniture as others have done (ruining the varnish!). We had somewhat tricky access both sides an they were very conscious of the truck and any potential damage to driveways from scraping etc - again demonstrating the care, experience and professionalism. Guys were friendly, but focused on getting the job done. They themselves even spoke glowingly of Dawson's and the pride and service-driven culture they promote and demand from their team. All round great experience!

Mieke and the boys from Dawson Moving and storage were wonderful ! Packed up my house in North Richmond so quickly and without and drama.. made sure everything was wrapped and boxed better than I did to make sure nothing got damaged! The storage was cost effective.. especially as it turned into 15 months not 4 weeks. Come the day to deliver to my new home they fitted in with me on short notice, arrived and took control, again quick and without complaint on what turned out to be a very hot day. Such a great company to work with, the care through the whole experience was greatly appreciated. Very happy to recommend Dawsons to everyone needing that bit extra in removing, storage and delivery.

Outstanding service at every level. From the time I first contacted Dawsons, I was dealing at once - and throughout - with the administrative person most expert in my requirements. A special shoutout to Mieke who co-ordinated the whole operation! She is a logistics genius. Not one single item of information ever had to be repeated by me. Response to any query was instantaneous. Delivery was accomplished by at least four (and I think more) removalists, who were kind and helpful as well as being experts in their field. An altogether fantastic experience. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Dawsons to anyone facing a move. They made it all seem easy. Everything went like clockwork with minimum disruption. Not bad for a move from Perth to Canberra - after living in our old house for 43 years!

Service and speed from Dawson removals was excellent. The team worked hard to deliver my items quickly and to my liking. They even removed the emptied cartons and packing paper at my convenience. Their office staff were helpful and efficient in the day I called and all staff were courteous and professional. Dawson would have earned five stars if they had provided better contact details on the day of the removal. I also can't comment on value for money as the removal was paid for by my employer. Despite this minor issues I would definitely recommend these guys.

We had a pretty poor experience with Dawson moving and storage. They started off keen and happy to get the job done but that quickly changed. Our removal was right before Christmas and you could tell they did not want to be at work. Multiple items were damaged, boxes were not correctly unpacks and items were either not re assembled, or the were reassembled poorly causing further damage. The boxes that were unpacked were literally tipped upside down to empty. Our solid pine dining table was cracked, chest of draws completely crumbled and walls chipped just to name a few. We also found the removalists rubbish amongst our belongings.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!Dawson removals moved us interstate from Canberra to Perth, most of the removal was average at best until the $10000, one of a kind, revolving glass table that we paid extra to have crated separately was delivered in approximately 1000 pieces, promptly dumped in my garage with glass shards spilling all over the place and the Perth firm just left it there. I contacted Steve, the manager where the table was crated who was apologetic but would take no responsibility. The "crate" was actually two cheap pallets and some plywood nailed together (I paid $400 extra for this "service" which they assured me involved a purpose built crate)which they clearly dropped but, amazingly, their cameras had no footage. Eventually Dawsons stopped responding to my calls and emails so I approached AFRA who they are proud members of, AFRA were no use whatsoever so the claim on their website is irrelevant and offers you the customer no protection whatsoever. I finally had to resort to Consumer Protection to finally get minimal compensation from this truly awful company. I notice the good reviews are mostly one liners and get responses from Dawsons, someone massaging the reviews perhaps? Truly an awful, stressful, expensive and massively disappointing experience. Avoid them if you're moving next door, avoid them if you're moving intercity and definitely avoid them if you are moving interstate. Once you're out of Canberra they couldn't care less. I gave them one star because I couldn't leave zero. Please save yourselves the heartache and disappointment and use one of the other companies who may actually deliver what they claim because these people are absolutely atrocious if anything goes wrong(and I assume it does often). AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

Movers were nice but the customer service was a disaster. The don't care customers once the moving things are done. The receptionist does not listen to customers and she only talk what she wanted to talk and hang up the phone. The worst part is that she told me she is JUST receptionist, but if I have to say, YOU are the company itself who every customer can only talk to. Really bad customer service ever in my life. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Used Dawson through Perth Relocations a few months ago and were still working to remove all the sticker and tape residue they lazily slapped all over our furniture. Damaged fridge and drier too.
