Interstate move Adelaide to Sydney I recently moved interstate from Adelaide to Sydney and used Door to Door Movers. They were fantastic from start to finish. They kept me updated throughout the process, always responded quickly, and were genuinely friendly and easy to deal with. They arrived on time, stuck to the dates we had agreed on, and all my belongings arrived safely and in perfect condition. The customer service was great, everyone I spoke to was polite, helpful, and always greeted me with a smile. Im really happy with the whole experience and would definitely recommend them for an interstate move.

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Door to Door Movers. We had four cartons of alcohol, all clearly mentioned and acknowledged when loading the truck. Two of these boxes never arrived. Every time we contacted them, we received a different story. The delivery staff themselves confirmed that two boxes were missing, yet the office later claimed only one was missing. To make it worse, they have now offered us only $100 as compensation which is absolutely unacceptable for the value of two full cartons of alcohol. It honestly feels like an insult. Our belongings were picked up on 25th October and delivered a month later on 25th November. Several of our glass items arrived broken, but we didnt complain because we understood some breakage can happen during a move. However, missing boxes especially when staff acknowledged them during delivery is completely unacceptable. Hats off to the Door to Door Movers team for effectively consuming our alcohol instead of delivering it. Overall, extremely unprofessional, dishonest, and disappointing service. I would not recommend them to anyone.

We engaged Door to Door Movers for a recent move based on a list of quotes received from Find a Mover. In speaking with Door to Door movers we increased to space purchased for the move, on the day I gave DTD movers a tour of our property and half way through the move I checked in with the team as to how they were going with space. Right at the end of the day, I received a call from the scheduler from DTD movers who said they had underquoted the space required, would not be able to complete the job for another 3 weeks due to staff scheduling, that a contractor would need to be engaged to complete the works if required earlier, this would incur a secondary contractor engagement fee and any additional spatial requirements would also incur a fee. We had to engage this contractor, as our lease had less than 3 weeks remaining and we had organised cleaners to attend the site as part of the property handover. In the end, the cost we bore sat 157% above the cost initially quoted by DTD movers. The removalists team themselves were slow, incredibly slow and showed a lack of understanding how to appropriately move items. An example is my wife and I chasing them to hold power cords when moving electronics. Despite this, they managed to run over the power cord to our fridge, which they then denied, despite my wife and mother both seeing them do it, they later admitted this but moved on without much care. I mentioned the lack of urgency to the scheduler who said it was because of the care they take in packing items safely. However, when our belongings arrived in SA, numerous items were broken or damaged. 1x TV was snapped at the base, smashing the screen 1x TV cabinet was received with wooden surfaces cracked, numerous dents and scratches deeming it valueless. A gym set back rest had ripped off the frame, rendering it unusable our lounge suit, which was new, is now scratched all over mirror frame cracked a shoe rack smashed to pieces a set of shelves (even though it was dismantled) shelves cracked. Plus, countless other items that had superficial damages to them. It is clear to me our goods were not secured property for the move. None of these damages were covered by the companies insurance. Perhaps most disappointing, was the lack of care, accountability or professionalism showed by the team as a whole, from the staff working in the office to the teams handling our gear. I have moved numerous times over the past 15 years. This team is by far the most poorly trained, least empathic and arrogant removalists I have encountered. Their quoting system is completely disingenuous, and a tool used to dupe customers that they will hold to ransom later. This approach is not only unethical but also deeply distressing for customers who are already navigating the complexities of a move. Discussions I have had with Door to Door movers to raise my concerns have been met with a deflective tone and a refusal to take reasonable action or responsibility. Their actions increased the stress levels of our move to a level I didnt feel possible. There are so many alternative providers. My advice is do not use Door to Door movers
