Supplier Code of Conduct

Purpose

This Supplier Code of Conduct sets out the ethical, legal, and professional standards that Muval Pty Ltd (“Muval”) expects from all suppliers, contractors, and service partners (“Suppliers”).

Muval is committed to operating responsibly, transparently, and in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) and other applicable Australian laws.

We expect all Suppliers to uphold these principles across their own operations and supply chains.

1. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

Suppliers must comply with all applicable local, state, and Commonwealth laws, regulations, and standards, including those relating to:

  • workplace relations, fair pay, and employment conditions
  • anti-discrimination and equal opportunity
  • privacy and data protection
  • workplace health and safety
  • environmental protection and waste management
  • competition, consumer, and product safety laws

Suppliers must maintain all necessary licences, permits, and insurance to lawfully operate their business.

2. Ethical Business Conduct and Anti-Corruption

Suppliers must conduct business ethically, honestly, and fairly. Muval prohibits any form of corruption, bribery, facilitation payments, kickbacks, or improper advantage.

Suppliers must immediately report to Muval any actual or suspected conflict of interest or unethical behaviour that may compromise fair dealings.

All confidential and proprietary information must be safeguarded and used only for legitimate business purposes.

3. Modern Slavery and Human Rights

Muval strongly opposes all forms of modern slavery, forced labour, servitude, and human trafficking.

Suppliers must ensure all work is performed voluntarily and that no worker is charged recruitment fees or required to surrender identification or personal documents.

Suppliers must actively identify and address potential human rights risks within their operations and supply chains.

4. Fair Work, Health, and Safety

Suppliers must treat all workers with dignity and respect. Harassment, discrimination, or abuse of any kind will not be tolerated.

Employment terms must meet or exceed legal standards for wages, working hours, rest periods, and benefits.

Suppliers must provide a safe and healthy working environment and take proactive steps to prevent workplace injuries and hazards.

5. Environmental Responsibility

Suppliers are expected to minimise environmental impact through sustainable practices, efficient use of resources, and responsible waste and emissions management.

Compliance with all environmental laws and regulations is mandatory.

6. Diversity, Inclusion, and Social Impact

Muval values inclusion and social responsibility. Suppliers are encouraged to support diversity in their workforce and to engage Indigenous businesses and local suppliers wherever possible.

7. Whistleblower Protection

Suppliers must provide a mechanism for workers to raise concerns or report suspected breaches of law, ethics, or this Code without fear of retaliation.

Muval encourages open communication and will support Suppliers who act in good faith to report issues.

8. Customer Standards and Service Quality

Suppliers must maintain professional conduct and uphold Muval’s standards for reliability, courtesy, and service quality.

All goods and services must meet agreed specifications, be fit for purpose, and delivered in a timely manner.

9. Continuous Improvement and Monitoring

Suppliers are expected to work collaboratively with Muval to continuously improve ethical, environmental, and social practices.

Suppliers must maintain accurate records and cooperate with Muval in any assessments, audits, or investigations into compliance with this Code.

Non-compliance may result in corrective action, suspension, or termination of engagement.

By partnering with Muval, each Supplier affirms its commitment to these principles and to operating with integrity, fairness, and respect for people and the environment.
