In September 2001, when sisters Sally and Mary-Ann McKenzie opened their first aged care home, ‘Armitage’, in the inner Melbourne suburb of Windsor, they saw a need to create an environment that truly felt like a family home. All furniture items will be wrapped in heavy removalist quilted padding to best protect your furniture; Some removalists will also use shrink wrap as well.
If your booking is a premium service, the company will be able to provide exact timing. If your booking is a shared option, then your schedule will be a window between two to seven hours on the move day.
It depends on your volume and which carrier we are using for your move. Some companies can delay the delivery by a day for an extra fee, but others may not be able to if the truck is only passing by your address and must continue driving.
Muval is a booking platform. We find reliable moving companies at a competitive rate. We help companies fill their space with customers that are happy to fit in with the truck schedule. It is called a shared load option.
The earlier you book your move the more confident you can be that the date you wish to move will be available. However, the time in advance that you should book is heavily dependent on the time of year. Between October and March we recommend booking at least 3-4 weeks in advance of when you want to move. From March - September you can leave it a little later, booking 2-3 weeks out.
Generally, it is around four porta-robes or 6 standard cartons for a wardrobe.
Depending on the destination and the state you are going to. Standard delivery times vary from one day to 21 days.
Dismantling and assembling the furniture are not included in our standard pricing but can easily be added to your moving service, just ask.
