Typical total is the median actual cost of completed moves — the crew's full billed time at their half-hour rate, not just the two-hour deposit.

2-hour deposit is the typical up-front cost to secure a crew, based on the median half-hour rate (four 30-minute units). Muval collects the first two hours as a deposit when you book.

Typical saving is calculated from completed bookings where the customer received two or more competing quotes and booked below their average quote. We calculate the percentage difference for each eligible booking, remove extreme outliers, then average the result. Each company has differing policies about notification before the pickup and delivery. Some companies can provide a time window on booking, others provide this the day before, while others will provide notice within an hour of their arrival.

The cost for your local move will depend on how long your move takes. Some dishonest moving companies quote very cheap hourly or half-hourly rates to get your job, and then work slowly on the day or surprise you with additional charges in order to make more money.

Unless they are running a limited special offer, most honest removal companies need to charge at least $45 per half hour or more in order to pay their staff (two people usually come to load and unload the truck for you), pay their insurances, and make sure their trucks are serviced regularly.

It is preferable to consider taking out an all-risk policy for your move. We offer two different options of coverage for your move, which include lowering the excess to obtain a lower premium or the ability to cover specific items of your move: https://www.muval.com.au/cover

If you have the original TV box, please use it. You can also purchase TV storage/removal boxes from storage centres. If you don’t have a box and can’t source one, the removalist will use heavy-duty blankets to protect the TV.

Depending on the destination and the state you are going to. Standard delivery times vary from one day to 21 days.

The final payment must be paid five days before the nominated pickup date.
