Local moves are billed per half hour: you pay a rate per 30 minutes for the crew and truck, with the first two hours collected up-front as a deposit and the remainder settled once the job is done.

2-hour deposit is the typical up-front cost to secure a crew, based on the median half-hour rate (four 30-minute units). Muval collects the first two hours as a deposit when you book.

Typical saving is calculated from completed bookings where the customer received two or more competing quotes and booked below their average quote. We calculate the percentage difference for each eligible booking, remove extreme outliers, then average the result. All furniture items will be wrapped in heavy removalist quilted padding to best protect your furniture; Some removalists will also use shrink wrap as well.

This can be organised but will incur an extra charge.

If you change your list of items or space required a week before your move, we can usually adjust the price accordingly. In some circumstances this won’t be possible depending on the booking volume and amount of change and notice provided.

However, the time in advance that you should book is heavily dependent on the time of year. Between October and March we recommend booking at least 3-4 weeks in advance of when you want to move. From March - September you can leave it a little later, booking 2-3 weeks out.
