Backloading is when you book the remaining truck space on a truck that’s already booked by someone else. It often means you may have to be slightly flexible on your pickup and delivery dates & times, but in turn it usually means big cost savings relative to booking a "primary load".
Booking backloads is a common practice among interstate removalists, who are often willing to give cheap or discounted prices for the available space in a truck that is going from point A to point B, or on the return journey if they have been unable to find a customer needing to move in the opposite direction.

The best way to ensure a successful move day is to be prepared. One way to do this is to notify your removalist about any very heavy or awkward-to-move items before move day. It can never hurt to double-check with them that they understand that you have these items, even if you have also submitted an inventory list. These sorts of items include:
- Grand / Baby grand piano
- Pizza oven
- Concrete furniture
- Pool / snooker tables (particularly slate)
- Many pot plants / large pot plants
Dismantling and assembling the furniture are not included in our standard pricing but can easily be added to your moving service, just ask.
No, The moving company you book will load and unload the truck with a minimum of two professional removalists.
If you change your list of items or space required to an increased amount, the removalist will adjust the price accordingly. It is advisable to inform Muval as soon as you know that your moving volume has increased. This way, we can plan to avoid any items being left behind on the move day. Please contact Muval about two days before your move once you have finished packing; this way, we can give the correct information to the removalist company before the day.
The final payment must be paid five days before the nominated pickup date.
It is preferable to consider taking out an all-risk policy for your move. We offer two different options of coverage for your move, which include lowering the excess to obtain a lower premium or the ability to cover specific items of your move: https://www.muval.com.au/cover

A cubic metre is 1m x 1m x 1m. A full-sized container size is 38m3.
Truck sizes vary from 20m3 to 70m3 and sometimes 100m3.
