What is Sydney backloading?
Backloading is when you book the remaining truck space on a truck that’s already booked by someone else. It often means you may have to be slightly flexible on your pickup and delivery dates & times, but in turn it usually means big cost savings relative to booking a "primary load".
Booking backloads is a common practice among interstate removalists, who are often willing to give cheap or discounted prices for the available space in a truck that is going from point A to point B, or on the return journey if they have been unable to find a customer needing to move in the opposite direction.

Generally, it is around four porta-robes or 6 standard cartons for a wardrobe.
It is preferred if you or your representative to be present at the pickup and drop off.
We only work with experienced and reputable moving companies and its in their best interests to pack accurately in the trucks for two main reasons:
- It maximizes the space available.
- A tight well-loaded vehicle ensures less movement and motion on the road/rail.
Each company has differing policies about notification before the pickup and delivery. Some companies can provide a time window on booking, others provide this the day before, while others will provide notice within an hour of their arrival.
If your booking is a premium service, the company will be able to provide exact timing. If your booking is a shared option, then your schedule will be a window between two to seven hours on the move day.
It depends on your volume and which carrier we are using for your move. Some companies can delay the delivery by a day for an extra fee, but others may not be able to if the truck is only passing by your address and must continue driving.
We encourage bookings ASAP, and this will hold the price, reserve the space, and give you peace of mind. This can also mean you avoid any future price rise.
