Backloading is when you book the remaining truck space on a truck that’s already booked by someone else. It often means you may have to be slightly flexible on your pickup and delivery dates & times, but in turn it usually means big cost savings relative to booking a "primary load".
Booking backloads is a common practice among interstate removalists, who are often willing to give cheap or discounted prices for the available space in a truck that is going from point A to point B, or on the return journey if they have been unable to find a customer needing to move in the opposite direction.

Yes. This varies depends on which company you are using. Usually, the minimum charge is based on the cost of transporting 5 cubic metres.
If you need to change the delivery or pick up date, please advise the removalist as early as possible. They can sometimes accommodate changes and reschedule but this has a few variables.
We encourage bookings ASAP, and this will hold the price, reserve the space, and give you peace of mind. This can also mean you avoid any future price rise.
If you have the original TV box, please use it. You can also purchase TV storage/removal boxes from storage centres. If you don’t have a box and can’t source one, the removalist will use heavy-duty blankets to protect the TV.
It depends on your volume and which carrier we are using for your move. Some companies can delay the delivery by a day for an extra fee, but others may not be able to if the truck is only passing by your address and must continue driving.

It is advisable to inform Muval as soon as you know that your moving volume has increased. This way, we can plan to avoid any items being left behind on the move day. Please contact Muval about two days before your move once you have finished packing; this way, we can give the correct information to the removalist company before the day.
