TRANSPORTR specialises in the provision of well trained and experienced drivers in late model and new commercial vehicles. All of our vehicles are equipped with the equipment necessary to comply with our Chain of Responsibility (CoR) Safety Policy including cargo barriers, ANZ approved load restraint equipment and any required PPE over and above that specifically demanded or provided by the customer. 

Compliance

TRANSPORTR is focused on the statutory compliance of our business in every respect. We see this as a multi-facetted issue which includes our driver engagement process as well as skills training and ensuring that all of our drivers understand their CoR obligations. In addition to retaining incorporated contractors we offer prospective, non-owner drivers the opportunity to engage with the company as either full or part-time temporary employees or full or part-time permanent employees depending upon which best suits the nature of individual assignments. Unlike many service providers in our industry, we believe that sustainability starts with the nature of relationships we enjoy with all of our stakeholders, particularly our drivers. Once we have optimised the sustainability of our core relationships, we turn our focus to the initial and on-going driver and vehicle compliance. Our detailed driver compliance scrutiny ensures that no driver commences driving operations with us until they have satisfied our comprehensive assurance process. All of these quality components are encompassed by the activities associated with The Courier Academy line of business (see below). Our onboarding procedure is complemented by our on-going driver and vehicle audit programme where drivers receive regular remedial training, drug and alcohol tests (bi-annual minimum) and their vehicles are also subject to safety audits twice a year.

Sustainability

While a substantial aspect of sustainability is vested in assuring the initial and on-going compliance of our fleet, TRANSPORTR’s management is acutely aware of the rapidly changing nature of the technological environment in which we operate and the broader implications of “sustainability”. We know that the fundamental technology we employ to satisfy the demands of our customers will have to evolve radically if the company is to survive into the future.

As a result, we have committed ourselves to employing “zero carbon foot print” transport solutions as soon as they become available and commercially viable. The company is already in dialogue with existing and impending commercial electric vehicle suppliers in order to establish favourable commercial terms as soon as their products become available.

We are also negotiating with our first prospective customer for a full electric vehicle delivery service. We see this undertaking, and future zero carbon projects, as a core characteristic of our company becoming a true “Partner in Sustainable Transport”.
