Had a great experience with Fenix Removals. Julio & Thiago completed my move on 23/03/2023. The day was destined to be drama due to a tight deadline; road closures at the new house. Fate being the monster she is, the removal van suffered a flat tire on the way to the collection point. Julio & Thiago kept their cool under pressure, and did not sacrifice quality of service to rush the job. They were careful and diligent with my belongings, they wrapped and taped white goods, my TV was well protected & insulated with cardboard, they carefully maneuvered a questionably big washing machine that was up a curved flight of stairs. They were able to achieve the move within the deadline, and did an excellent job under pressure. I would also like to add, they were excellent with communicating to me the whole time, from the flat tire and throughout the move.

The guys left a large sheet of cardboard and haven't responded to my request for them to pick up in the last 2 weeks. I booked through Muval and believed I was getting removalists from Lindo. Their website looked good and had good ratings. And they sounded professional on the phone. So I accepted their offer. However, they didn't tell me that they were subcontracting my job out to Fenix. I didn't know until the job was done & the guys requested payment to Fenix. They also didn't know that I had paid a deposit and initially asked me to pay the total. I had to show them my payment receipts on my phone and they took pics to send to their contact to check. Then we had to wait for confirmation from their contact. It was fine, but not a seamless process. Ed was very friendly and appeared to be experienced in moving & loading. English wasn't great though, so communication not clear at times. His side kick John was less experienced and carried single items at a time when he could have carried more. It took 5 hours to move equivalent of a 2 bed house (estimate 23 cubic metres) with 45 min travel time. All boxes & half the furniture was all ready to load straight from garage. I expected the move would be complete in under 4 hours, based on my previous move 3 years ago. They generally took care of my belongings. But I did find a few scratches and marks after, and my wooden bed had a piece broken of one of the legs. Issue more cosmetic that functional. I would have been happy to give feedback directly, but they haven't replied to my request to pick up the large piece of cardboard. I also let Lindo know, and they have been trying to contact them as well, with no replies.

Don't trust Fenix! Took 2 hours to get to destination only 1 hour away. Said they'd stopped for petrol. Upon arrival they took forever to bring our stuff in. After 20 minutes I went downstairs to see Gabriel on the phone and new guy folding blankets in the truck. Not one item off-loaded. They charged $1400 when the estimate was $700. They took twice as long to off load than on load. Booked through Muval. They said Fenix wouldn't help. Want to get ripped off? Go with Fenix.
