From the initial quote being super efficient, to professional advice on preparing the move, to preparation the day before, had been above my expectations. The moving day was just smooth and gone above and beyond. The guys show up on time, parked at a good spot and put signs up to warn people, as they will cross the bike path. They handled all my belongings with care as if that's their own. Wrap it, place it properly. They have proper equipment to handle everything so they don't injure themselves, I could tell the company had been looking after the team very well. Then at the new place, they asked my new neighbours if their truck can blocked their garage for a bit. They asked where to put everything, and afterwards asked me to have another look to see if they need to move anything. Awesome service - above and beyond! Leader's removals are absolutely the best movers we have ever had! Friendly, polite, helpful and fast thinking. Moving always happens at a time of change in one's life, but we had some stressful last-minute changes that the team coped with amazingly. The apartment we were to move into fell through the week before, so Fran organised for everything to be carefully removed into one of Leader's containers and stored, but then work gave me one week's notice that I was to be posted overseas for four months. We knew which numbered boxes we needed to get our next season's clothes. Andrew was awesome! he problem solved and was able to speedily retrieve what we needed. It would have been disastrous for us if Leaders hadn't made it smooth from their end, by staying calm and coming up with workable solutions. Fantastic service - above and beyond! We are so happy with the Leaders team and can't recommend them enough!

We sought a number of quotes for relocating items from Canberra to Melbourne and Leader removals was one of the most competitively priced. Removalists at both ends were quick and efficient and staff kept us informed of pick up and drop off times. No items were lost or damaged and all boxes were labelled by Leader removals. They couldn't fit me in for a local move on my desired date but could do it very shortly after. Originally the move was scheduled for the PM, but I got a call at 9:20am to say they were on their way (this was fine because I was able to work from home - and the early move actually meant I could go into the office for the afternoon). When planning our recent move from the ACT to Queensland we sought feedback from friends who had moved house recently, and Leader Removals was highly recommended. Right from the start we could see that Andrew and Fran at Leader were genuine, professional and honest family business operators. Ours was quite a complicated move as our requirements kept changing. During the process we decided to store and then transport some of our items because our son was moving to Melbourne. At the time we couldn't even anticipate when they would be required in Melbourne. It was absolutely no problem. Anything that came up at the last minute was dealt with in a 'no problem' way. Then we decided to take more things than were quoted originally. Again, no problem with that. At the last minute we decided to transport a car to Queensland. Again, it was absolutely no trouble making adjustments. We've moved houses a number of times in the past and this was by far the best removal company we have ever used. Both the crew working with Andrew in Canberra and then the one delivering our furniture on the Gold Coast was great and totally professional. Our houseful of furniture was loaded up in Canberra on Monday and delivered in Queensland at 8 am on Wednesday. Amazingly, not one item was damaged or scratched. And the same with the car! I was put on to Fran & Andrew at Leader Removals by my sister who had a very positive experience with them when relocating from Canberra to the Gold Coast. I had purchased a brand new fridge online from a supplier in Queensland and due to the Covid pandemic, the supplier was unable to deliver from Queensland to Melbourne. Enter Leader Removals- even though only a single item, they were able to collect the fridge and store it in their warehouse in Canberra for me, until such time as it was safe and practical to deliver down to Melbourne. From the first contact, Fran and Andrew were very helpful and their communication was great during co-ordination of pick-ups and deliveries. I would have no hesitation in recommending Leader Removals for either a major move, as was my sister's, or a small transportation job, as was mine, and will absolutely call them straight away if ever we have need for this type of service again. I was moving interstate and After contacting multiple removal companies in the ACT leaders were the only company that got back to me with a response same day. They provided a quote within a few days and the quote was cheaper then anything else I found. Andrew and Leader Removals & Storage are without question the most professional company Ive ever dealt with. I stupidly made arrangements with another company for my removals from Canberra to Melbourne. Like heros, Andrew and Leader stepped in at short notice when the other company simply failed to turn up to the agreed removals date (even though it was booked and paid for weeks in advance). Leader just took charge of everything...removals, storage, cleaning and returning my keys to the agent. And totally reasonably priced when I was in a complete bind, as I needed to leave Canberra and vacate the premise. A really stressful situation that they just made simple and hassle free. Kim in the office reassured me that from handing over the key my stressful situation was over and i could drive back to Melbourne as planned and they would take care of everything, and she could not have been more right. Andrew kept me up to date throughout with photos of the removals, and I got my full bond back without any issues raised by the agent - so the cleaners clearly did a good job. Absolutely amazing service. Great value. Cannot recommend them highly enough for anyone looking for Canberra removals or storage!! Thank you so much!!

I have given 3 stars, the actual removalists, Oscar and Robbie, were amazing, and my initial quote was appr $1, 480 it actually turned out to be $980 for an inventory and $300 for storage ($1280), which was also amazing. When I needed my furniture taken out of storage, less than 3 weeks later and transported 166 klms away, the price was over $2,000 after a discount for not using the storage for long. I was stunned and said so at the time, but they had my furntiture so I had no choice. I was very surprised as a friend recently had the same service with another carrier and it cost her $945. I do appreciate that my items were sent the same week, which I was grateful for. I could not attend the delivery, but the driver and I spoke twice. I asked for all heavy items and all boxes to come into the house. I even left lists on each door. Unfortunatley, most of the items are still in the garage, even really heavy ones. I am over 61 and live alone and cannot bring the items in, so now I have to hire someone to come and help me take everything inside. I would possibly use them again, but next time would get a relocation quote in advance and make sure that my things were put in the house, not left in the garage. Thank you for the jobs you did well.

While the pack up and cleaning were competent and prompt, the movers locked my keys in the house I moved into on purpose, claimed it was normal and that "everyone" has an extra set of keys. Then the owner rang me up and was extremely abusive, shouted at me and said I was a liar. He only stopped when I said I would leave a negative review. It's taken me this long to feel comfortable to leave a review as honestly the experience terrified me. Edit: more than happy to be contacted by Google, as I have all my receipts as proof.

EDIT to original post: In response to Leader's comments lets be clear: I was seeking quotes from several removalist companies with a long lead time for the removal due to the lockdown. Leader removal offered an earlier date and I accepted. At no point was I seeking a removal on short notice or had not had any success with other companies. I noted in my original post that Leader was the most expensive quote - this is fact and not a 'grouse' over the price. Dismantling and reassembling the bed was a request at the time of quote and I was not advised in the return quote that it was 'complimentary' The bed was mentioned to removalists when they were called back to fix their work. The door is dented /chipped and not scratched. Given the last correspondence I have from Leader was on 21 September with no follow up to advise of any issues with delay I don't expect that the door will be fixed. I organised for Leader Removals and Storage to take a small amount of items to a unit in Wollongong, certainly not a full house load. They were the most expensive quote but I thought they would be the most professional. The pre-pickup service was fine however the crew damaged my front door through sloppiness - not taking the feet off the lounge and trying to force it through the front door space. On the delivery end, the reassembly of the queen bed (with under bed storage) was also sloppy and incomplete. They were called back to fix it as it was quite obviously not sitting correctly in one area. However on further inspection we found a number of screws had been thrown in the centre of the bed, hidden by the mattress and slats and other parts had been positioned but not screwed in. Disassembly and reassembly of the bed was requested at the quote stage. I lodged a request for the door to be fixed, which they accepted however I am at a loss to understand what was done as all I could see was blue tape left on the door and the area where the wood was chipped - the worst part - was not fixed. I emailed and was advised someone would come back. That never happened and I don't think I should have to continue following up with them. Overall a less then satisfactory experience.
